Zlatyu Boyadjiev
(1903 - 1976)
Born on 22 October 1903 in Brezovo, Plovdiv region.
In 1932 he graduated from SAA / NAA/, Sofia, in Prof. Ts. Todorov's
class, specializing in Painting.
His work is divided into two major periods as a result of a partial
paralysis in 1951. The first period is characterized by his preference
to daily life subjects and portraits influenced by XVI - XVII c.
Dutch painting.
The second period is characterized by its expressive style, combined
with fairy-tale and symbolic images and compositions of village
life. His interest in portrait and landscape painting remained as
well.
He is one of the "Baratsi" group.
A member of USBA and UBA since 1945.
Died on 2 February 1976 in Plovdiv.
