The First Symbolic Sod Of The Central Waste Water Treatment Plant Was Turned

The building of the Central Waste Water Treatment Plant at KCM S.A. is planned as a second stage of the Industrial Pollution Improvement Project. On March 26th the first sod of this significant project was turned. The symbolic start of the civil works was made at the presence of the design engineers of "Niproruda" AD, the contactor "Sienit" and experts of KCM S.A.

The finish of the civil works is set up for December 2004. According to the schedule the equipment mounting has to be completed till April 2005 and till the end of July the Waste Water Treatment Plant has to be started up.

The construction of the Central Waste Water Treatment Plant will ensure the achievement of the restrictive emission norms of the Bulgarian legislation.

It is expected that the water consumption will reach to 250 - 300 m3/h in comparison with 700 m3/h at present.
